This SOP outlines the steps and timeline for creating new ads, to be repeated every two weeks. The process involves creating tasks in Jira, scriptwriting, video shooting, editing, and publishing the ads on Facebook.

3. Get the Video Ads Recorded
a. Collect the scripts from Ben
b. Assign the task to shoot the ads to the relevant person
c. If Charles:
- Create a task on Jira with a link to the ad scripts and any relevant details
- Example: Shoot Podcast Video Ads
- Send to Charles on Slack and ask him when he will shoot them
- Send them the scripts on Slack
- Ask them when they can shoot the ads
- Create a task on Jira and assign it to yourself
- Adriana - Get completed ads from Taylor/Allyson
4. Get the Video Ads Edited and Produced
a. Retrieve the raw video files from the person who shot them (Charles, Taylor, Allyson)
b. Create a Jira task for Michael to edit the ads
- Example: Edit FB Survey Video Ads
- Include links to the recordings
- Include links to the scripts so Michael knows what the ads are all about
- Include any important details (captions needed, CTAs, sizes)
5. Get the Ads Published to Facebook Ads
a. Retrieve the completed video ads from Michael
b. Post the new ads to this spreadsheet with a status of ‘Ready’
- New Ad Creation Tracking Sheet
- Talk to Ben and Charles once you get to this step to establish the best way to list the ads here
c. Create a task on Jira for Ben to publish the video ads to Facebook ads
- Include details about the ads, the original scripts, the offers, how many there are, etc.
- Link to where the ads are placed on the New Ad Creation Tracking
- Ask him when he is planning to publish the ads
d. Have Ben notify you once the ads have been published
6. Track the Results of the Ads
a. Talk to Ben and Charles once you get to this step to establish the best way to do this
b. Update the New Ad Creation Tracking Sheet with a link to the published ads
c. After the ads have run, update the report with the results (Ask Ben how to do this)
d. Report the results of the ads to the team in the next Sprint meeting
- What performed the best?
- What performed the worst?
e. Make the recommendations for the next batch of ads
By following this SOP, the ad creation cycle should run smoothly and efficiently, allowing for consistent production and publication of high-quality ads.
