This document outlines how to collect payments for a trial sale in ABO and the alternative process to processing the payment in Chargify if the ABO transaction fails.

How to Process a Trial Sale in ABO


  1. Log into abo.authorify.com, preferably from your Chrome browser.

  1. Navigate to Marketing, then click Offers


  1. Look for the correct offer page they came from and make sure that it is tagged as Main under the Type column as shown below. Offer pages tagged as Product Catalog will not work. Click the copy icon under the Action column, and paste the URL to a new browser to open the offer page. 


  1. Fill out the required fields in the offer page to collect the payment. 


How to Process a Trial Sale in Chargify


You may manually process a trial sale in Chargify if the ABO transaction fails. Please note that processing a trial sale in Chargify is a last resort. Collect share error details in ABO, including screenshots, to Christine Joy De Castro or your manager, before proceeding to this process step. 


  1. Log into authorify.chargify.com. If you are having trouble logging in, please reach out to Christine Joy De Castro.

  1. Click Subscriptions under the Billing section. Then click the Create New Subscription button at the top right part of the screen. 


  1. Under Step 1, click the Create Customer button.

  1. Fill out all fields with an asterisk then click Submit.

  1. Under Payment Method, click Select Payment Method, click the New Credit Card button and fill out all fields with an asterisk. Click Add credit card button to continue. 

  1. Proceed to Step 2 Plan Configuration and click the Select a Product button.

  1. From the list of products, select the Authorify Monthly (Non Contracted) as shown below. 


  1. Click the Change button.

  1. Select any price point that shows $7 for a 30-day trial then click the Preview button at the bottom. 


  1. Click the Add Component button.


  1. Select the product that they will be renewing to after the trial period. This usually depends on which offer they came from. Revisit the course How to Perform Due Diligence on the account to learn more. In this example, we will assume the member came from a Digital trial offer. Click the Select button of the product to continue. 


  1. Change the component quantity to 1. 


  1. Lastly, click the Create Subscription button to complete the process. 


Zero Tolerance Policy


To ensure compliance and consistency of work quality, below are behaviors which will not be tolerated and may result in the termination of your employment.


  1. Data manipulation. This refers to tampering or falsification of any Hubspot or Stripe information which may or may not result in financial gains such but not limited to:

  1. Updating the ‘Appointment Set By’ property with your name without a confirmed booking appointment with the member. 

  1. Falsifying an endorsement to a Marketing Consultant. 

  1. Moving a deal to Closed Won without collecting the payment from the customer.

  1. Deleting a deal or deal information that affects the validity of the deal.

  1. Incorrectly claiming a sale. 


  1. Fraud. Illegal collection, use, and or distribution of PII such as members’ name, email address, address, and credit card information.
